FAQ

Questions teachers and schools ask

ClassMind is in beta. These answers describe how the product is intended to be used today: as a drafting assistant, with teacher judgement in charge.

Can ClassMind replace teachers?

No. ClassMind drafts resources for teachers to review, edit and adapt. It does not replace professional judgement, curriculum knowledge or knowledge of pupils.

Are outputs ready to use immediately?

They should be treated as strong first drafts. Teachers should check factual accuracy, suitability, tone, accessibility and any pupil context before use.

Is it aligned to the National Curriculum?

ClassMind is built around UK primary teaching and National Curriculum language. Teachers can also add their own scheme, objective or uploaded reference material to steer the output.

How much editing will I need to do?

That depends on the subject, year group and how specific the prompt is. The beta asks for feedback on editing effort so the product can improve before making any time-saving claims.

Can I enter pupil data?

Keep pupil data to the minimum needed. Do not enter safeguarding, medical, family, attendance, behaviour or other sensitive details. Report tools are designed to work with initials or neutral references.

What happens to prompts and outputs?

Prompts needed for generation are sent to the AI provider. Usage logs are intended to retain metadata such as feature type, token counts and costs rather than prompt/output text. Saved outputs stay in your account until you delete them or close the account.

Can a school approve ClassMind?

Schools should review the AI safety page, privacy policy and any DPA/DPIA documents before adoption. For due-diligence questions, email privacy@classmind.co.uk.

How does the beta work?

Beta access is used to test the planning workflow, collect feedback and improve resource quality. Pricing and long-term school plans should follow after enough real feedback has been gathered.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Account and subscription controls are handled from the app settings. You can also contact support if you need account deletion.
